Single Dental Implants
WHAT IS SINGLE DENTAL IMPLANTS?
You deserve a replacement tooth that feels so natural you forget it is even there.
A single dental implant is a titanium post placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth, topped with a custom fabricated crown that restores both the appearance and the full function of the lost tooth. It is the most complete and biologically sound tooth replacement option in modern dentistry, the only solution that addresses the root as well as the crown, preserving bone, maintaining the surrounding teeth, and functioning exactly like a natural tooth in every respect.
At LUMI Dental in Boca Raton, single implant treatment is approached with comprehensive pre treatment planning that includes digital X-rays or cone beam CT imaging to assess bone density, volume, and anatomical relationships before a single appointment is scheduled. We review our findings with you clearly and provide a complete treatment plan, including timeline, any preparatory procedures, and the final restoration design, before any treatment begins. Nothing moves forward without your full understanding.
BENEFITS OF SINGLE DENTAL IMPLANTS
- The only tooth replacement that addresses the root, preserving jawbone and preventing bone loss.
- Functions exactly like a natural tooth: no removal, no dietary restrictions, no adhesives.
- Does not require preparation or alteration of the adjacent healthy teeth.
- Custom crown is fabricated to match the color and shape of your surrounding teeth precisely.
- With proper care, the implant fixture itself can last a lifetime.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT DURING A SINGLE DENTAL IMPLANTS TREATMENT?
Single implant treatment unfolds in phases. The implant post is placed surgically under local anesthesia and allowed to integrate with the bone over three to six months. During this healing phase, a temporary restoration maintains your aesthetics and function. Once integration is confirmed, a custom abutment and crown are fabricated and delivered, completing the restoration. The delivery appointment includes careful verification of fit, shade, and bite before final placement. We monitor the implant at every subsequent checkup to ensure long-term stability.
OUR APPROACH TO SINGLE DENTAL IMPLANTS
At LUMI Dental, implant treatment is managed entirely under one roof, from consultation and imaging through surgical placement and final crown delivery. Every phase is guided by the same team with the same consistent standard. We invest significantly in the planning phase because the quality of the outcome is determined long before the implant is placed. We do not rush healing, we do not cut corners on materials, and we do not proceed to the next phase without confirming the previous one is complete.

Your smile deserves attention today, not tomorrow.

How long do dental implants last?
With proper care, the implant fixture itself can last a lifetime. The crown attached to the implant may need replacement after 10 to 15 years due to normal wear.
Is implant placement painful?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Most patients report the experience is far more comfortable than they anticipated. Some soreness in the days following is normal and manageable.
Am I a candidate for a dental implant?
Most healthy adults with adequate bone volume are strong candidates. Factors such as uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking are evaluated individually. We assess all relevant factors at your consultation.
How long after losing a tooth should I get an implant?
Earlier is generally better, bone begins to resorb relatively quickly after tooth loss. Implants can still be placed after a longer interval, sometimes with bone grafting. We evaluate the site and advise accordingly.
Do I need to do anything special to care for my implant?
Daily brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits are sufficient for most implant patients. We provide specific care guidance at your restoration appointment.
